Introducing Mesa Chiropractor Dr. Sam Hallows DC

I didn’t get the miracle or huge pain relief the doctor or I was looking for but those few visits with Dr Kimura gave me something much more important.

Dr.

While in Hawaii I had been walking more than ever before in my life and was in a great deal of pain. Dr Kimura invited me to his office for care for an aching back and my feet, which had been paralyzed when I was 6 years old. The Dr expressed confidence in his abilities to help my body. I was a bit uncertain and skeptical but he was so confident that I thought I would give it a chance. I still couldn’t move my feet after a couple visits, but I was introduced to something more important, 33 principles of chiropractic. From them I learned that my body has inborn intelligence and that, though I have some physical limitations, I still have much potential. After learning these concepts, I knew that by becoming a chiropractor I could serve mankind by removing interference to our body’s expression.

After my experiences in Hawaii I moved back to Arizona and promptly enrolled at Mesa Community College, embarking on the pre-med undergrad course. After two years at MCC I transferred to Arizona State University located on University Drive, the same street where I grew up in Mesa. After a year at ASU and finding and marrying my princess, Ruth, we packed up for the mid-west at the fountainhead of chiropractic, Palmer College in Davenport, Iowa. There, I was surrounded by good men and women of the faculty who possessed qualities of leadership and success that I admire. I found great strength being surrounded by a hundred other peers who had the same goal of learning chiropractic.

The Balance Chiropractic Philosophy

Dr Hallows DC wants his patients to be free of subluxation, enabling their bodies to adapt to the environment successfully. Because of his childhood bout with Guillain Barre Syndrome, he grew up with physical challenges and pain, which helped him realize the blessing of being healthy. He believes the body has an incredible ability to adapt to constant external changes and remain healthy. However, subluxation interferes with this ability. He educates patients regarding the causes, effects, and prevention of vertebral subluxation. He welcomes families, professional sports teams and athletes of all kinds. He wants to help people live up to their potential and enjoy life.

My sweetheart Ruth grew up on the west coast and transplanted to Arizona just a week before I met her. She was looking for the nearest church and I graciously offered to pick her up and show her where to go. That was Mother’s Day 2001 and we haven't been apart since. We were married in Mesa the following March and had a baby girl, Jennifer, in December of the same year. While in Iowa we gave birth to Samuel Jackson. Both births were performed naturally through training from the Bradley Method.

The Hallows Family

We love traveling as a family, whether it’s to Chicago for a Cubs game, Utah to see cousins, San Diego for the beaches or Maricopa to visit Grandma “Mimi”. I easily get wrapped up eating my wife’s delicious cooking and baking. I also enjoy the thrill of NASCAR, baseball, basketball and football games in person or on television.

My family and I receive regular chiropractic care. Jenny and Jackson have been under care most of their lives and have successfully adapted to their environments. I am proud to say I have had such great results from chiropractic care that I can go 3-4 weeks between adjustments. I believe by keeping the nervous system functioning at its optimum our bodies can get through most health conditions without much medical aid.

Our family firmly believes in the wisdom of moderation in all things and tries to apply that counsel in all aspects of life. Whether it is food, entertainment, or daily activities too much or too little of anything can be unhealthy. We visit the Mesa YMCA often to swim and play racquetball. I also enjoy rising early and working outside on the house.

Enough about me! Thanks for visiting our site. I look forward to meeting you in person and learning how we may be of service to you. Give our office a call, or email me using the link below, found on every page, and let’s arrange a time to explore your options and unlock your potential.
