Meet Dr. Sam Hallows DC

I didn’t get the miracle or huge pain relief I was looking for but those few visits with Dr. Kimura gave me something much more important.”

Dr. Sam Hallows profileWhile in Hawaii serving a mission for my church, I had been walking more than ever and I was in a great deal of pain. Dr. Kimura invited me to his office for care for an aching back and my feet, which had been paralyzed when I was 6 years old. The doctor expressed confidence in his abilities to help my body. I was a bit uncertain and skeptical but he was so confident that I thought I would give it a chance.

I still couldn’t move my feet after a couple visits, but I was introduced to something more important, the 33 Principles of Chiropractic. From them I learned that my body has inborn intelligence and that, though I have some physical limitations, I still have much potential. After learning these concepts, I knew that by becoming a chiropractor I could serve mankind by removing interference to our body’s expression.

A Chiropractic Education

After my experiences in Hawaii I moved back to Arizona and promptly enrolled at Mesa Community College, embarking on the pre-med undergrad course. After two years at MCC I transferred to Arizona State University located on University Drive, the same street where I grew up in Mesa. After a year at ASU and marrying Ruth, we packed up for the mid-west to attend the fountainhead of chiropractic, Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa. There, I was surrounded by good men and women of the faculty who possessed qualities of leadership and success that I admire. I found great strength being surrounded by a hundred other peers who had the same goal of learning chiropractic.

On a Personal Note…

Dr. Sam Hallows with his children outdoors

I have been honored to welcome four children into this world and watch them grow and find their unique, individual talents and abilities. We enjoy traveling to the northwest to visit family and the coast during the summers. We enjoy movies, games, swimming and playing at parks.

My family and I receive regular chiropractic care. My children, Jenny, Jackson, Anna and Daven have been under care most of their lives. I am proud to say I have had such great results from chiropractic that I can go several months between adjustments. I believe by keeping the nervous system functioning at its optimum, our bodies can get through most health conditions without much medical aid.

Our family firmly believes in the wisdom of moderation in all things and tries to apply that counsel in all aspects of life. Whether it is food, entertainment, or daily activities too much or too little of anything can be unhealthy.

I also enjoy the thrill of NASCAR, baseball, basketball and football games in person or on television, motorcycle riding, cycling and an occasional round of golf. Lately new hobbies are restoring my Chevy C10, kayaking and pickleball.
